Perfection can be judged on many different levels. Wether it’s a family Halloween party, a kid’s Halloween party or the more common; adult Halloween party, all of which have very different requirements.
For an adult party, you must first choose your guest list, for a large format party invitations are the best option but for a small one you’re probably best sticking to the phone: do so your guests aren’t expecting anything too extravagant. Next you need drinks; punch is the best option because it causes the least mess and expense. You can then choose the alcohol content controlling the alcohol people intake. Finally your costume, it might be a good idea to go for something more scary like a devil costume Halloween for the celebrations.
For a family party you need to choose something all the family can enjoy. You need a limited supply of alcohol for the adults to enjoy while leaving some soda for the kids. You also need to choose some games, but some that everyone can enjoy like find the pumpkin (you can’t expect grandma to go apple bobbing)
And finally for a kids party you need music, preferably spooky but not too spooky so none of the kids get scared. Of course at a kids party you need lots of games, as many as you can think of to keep the kids entertained through the night like find the pumpkin or apple bobbing. Also the hosts costume is a must, try something like a devil costume sexy as hell.
