Peter Pan has long been a favorite Disney movie, so it should come as no surprise that Captain Hook costumes are just as popular today as they were decades ago. Even better, there are costumes for kids of all ages and sizes.
Who said that kids should have all the fun? Grown-ups like dressing up too and adult Disney costumes bring a lot of fun. They are ideal for fancy dress parties or bachelor nights. Couples going to a social function can go in complementing outfits. There is a wide range to choose from, from the classic movies of yesteryear to the more modern ones. Whatever your favorite character is, there is something for everyone for both men and ladies. With so much variety, it’s easy to put together a theme for any party.
Most of the Disney Halloween costumes are available in deluxe and ‘prestige’ versions, which include a little more detailing. Many are available in children’s, teen and adult sizes, so everyone can get in on the fun.
Required in real authentic pirate costumes are such accoutrements as a flintlock pistol, a hook for a hand, a pegleg and a parrot. And if you can grow one (or buy one from a costume shop), a handlebar moustache can go a long way to completing the look.
Have you made up your mind yet about what costumes will you be wearing this Halloween? Perhaps a teen pirate costume would be just what you are looking for.
These days, everyone wants to be unique and stand out from the crowd. You go to the costume store and spend hours and hours trying on different costumes and even though you pick one out, you still feel that hundreds, if not thousands, of other people are going to be wearing the same thing. That is why you need the Halloween accessories that will elevate your costume choice and have people talking about you the next day at the water cooler.
There are a lot of accessories that you can use for your teen pirate costume, the only thing that limits you is you imagination. Don;t hold off at anything, let your imagination run wild and make your costume unique.
Another great way to set your costumes above the others is just to have a contradictory idea. For example you and your much shorter friend or kid can go as Batman and Robin, but instead you switch roles. You are Robin and your kid can be Batman. That will definitely make people crack up and you will receive kudos for your originality and humor. Humor is a great thing to exhibit on Halloween and can be done ingeniously by just using some simple Halloween accessories to your otherwise common costume.
While doing research for my Female Pirate Costumes website, I was amazed at how many female pirates there were! Take Grace O’Malley for instance. This truly was a Pirate Queen! She was born in the 16th century where woman were rarely found as pirates on the open sea but Grace was a spitfire of a woman and nothing was going to keep her near hearth and home as long as she could have the adventures that most woman could only dream of! She became so famous for her exploits that the English Captains would call her “Chief Director and Commander of Thieves and Murders at Sea”…not a title given lightly to a pirate female of Grace’s time.
