Have you seen the latest Karate Kid movie starring Jaden Smith, (Will Smith’s son) as the karate kid and Jackie Chan in the role of the teacher? I have not seen it myself and it looks like it could be a fairly good movie from the previews and trailers that I have seen, but I don’t think it could ever be as good as the original Karate Kid with Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso and Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi. That movie just holds a special place in my heart I guess and I also loved the sequels.
One of the things I like about the movies are the karate uniforms that they wear in tournaments. The Daniel LaRusso karate kid outfit looked so comfortable and sharp too with the black belt and bandana around his forehead. The karate kid outfit worn by Jaden Smith who played the part of Dre Parker was nice too. Very different from the traditional styling we usually see. My son wants to dress up as the Karate Kid this Halloween, but he can’t decide which costume he likes better. I hope he picks the Daniel LaRusso style myself as I think he would look adorable in it. But I won’t tell him that.
Halloween is just a couple of months away at this writing and I am just wondering… are you ready? Do you have your costumes picked out for your kids, if you have kids and for yourself? After all, Halloween is not just for kids you know. Many parents enjoy dressing up with their kids and going out for trick or treat around the neighborhood. Some families attend Halloween costume parties at friend’s houses. Some schools have carnivals and bazaars on or around Halloween leaving lots of opportunity for costume fun.
Traditionally, one of the all-time favorite costumes are witch costumes. There are so many different types of witch costumes that you can buy these days and there are some really cool witch costumes that are new for 2010. You can be a good witch, a wicked witch, an emerald witch, a candy corn witch, a maleficent witch and the list goes on and on. You can even be a witch doctor if you would like. The choices are abundant, the prices are great and the fun you will have with your partner or your family is sweet memories in the making. So join in the costume fun this Halloween…just don’t eat too much candy!
Hey girls, let’s gather round for a quick chit chat shall we? It’s certainly not front page news that women love to shop. And what we love even more is finding a really good deal on what we are shopping for. A lot of guys would be clueless, but what woman couldn’t tell you in an instant what BOGO means? For all you men with that “deer in the headlights” look on your face, “BOGO” is an acronym for Buy One Get One free, and we know you men like the word free.
Now this term, BOGO got me to thinking a little outside the box the other day as I was doing a little shopping online for a costume. Halloween will be here before you know it and I want to be ready for the costume parties that we get invited to every year. The problem is I really did not want to wear the same costume to both parties this year as I have done in the past. Well I discovered that I don’t have to and neither do you when you buy a ladies reversible costume.
It really is like a BOGO deal. You pay one low price for one costume, but you get the benefit of two costumes in one. All you have to do is turn it inside out and you have a different look. Some costumes allow you to do a complete role reversal such as a hot and sexy cop/ hot and sexy criminal, or a cute bumblebee/ ladybug costume; and some costumes will offer the same character theme but with different colors. I really love the sexy pirate outfit that I found, but there is also an angel/devil costume that I am tossing about in my mind. There is actually quite a number to choose from so you may also have a hard time deciding which one you like best. Whichever one you choose, double the value for half the cost is definitely a plus that even the guys can’t argue with!
